Canadian International Educational Organisation presently has in excess of 50 foreign teachers, primarily from Canada, but also from America and European countries. With a loving heart, they have traveled great distances in order to come to China to apply their efforts towards accomplishment of a goal ------ satisfying Chinese kids' need for English study. The aim of our teaching team is to help children succeed in the future, by becoming proper English communicators. Our foreign teachers have been selected through a strict process and are not allowed to teach in our organisation before professional training on the basic tenets of our teaching system and our expectation on teaching skills. They must then successfully pass our examination.
Our foreign teachers' efforts contribute not only to improvement of kids' English level, but their loving treatment of children brings about an improvement in their social skills and earns recognition from parents. Gradually, teachers become a member of our harmonious family so that it is always hard to say, "goodbye," when they are leaving upon completion of a contract. The valuable experience of teaching in China is kept close to teachers’ hearts and is remembered as a bright point forever. |

My name is Paul Kozyn. I am twenty-eight years old, and I am from Toronto, Canada. I have been living and teaching in Guangzhou since May, 2004.In Canada, I attended York University, where I majored in English and sociology I enjoy English language studies, which makes teaching more fun for me.
When we, at Canadian school, take responsibility for kids and their English studies, we take it seriously. We recognize that children are the most important things in parents' lives.
So, when I teach I try to push kids to improve, but more so, I want them to enjoy being able to speak a new language. I want them to be interested, I always do what I can to make the atmosphere relaxed, and the thing that I do best, is make children like me, and want to talk to me. I call them all "my friends" because that is how I think of them. The most important thing to me is to have a room full of kids who are not afraid to try. If we can have that we can grow into little members of the world community Thank you very much for choosing Canadian School, and thank you for letting us guide your children in English. |

Hello my name is Adam and I am from Canada. I have been teaching in Canadian International School for almost two years now. The management and staff here are spectacular at making you feel like you never left home. Though I am halfway around the world I feel comfortable and relaxed in one of the biggest countries in the world. The staff and management work 110% to meet your needs and help you with any problems. Though it is over populated and not civilized it is a country that is developing. There are a lot of tourist places to see in Guangzhou as well as the surrounding areas around Guangzhou. Guangzhou’s food is a little different but once you get used to it you find a taste for it. There are McDonalds, KFC and other western restaurants that will help you get through the first year. What I have learned since being here is the culture and how Chinese people do things. The dynamic teaching method that is used in Canadian’s School program is very active and enjoying. Teaching dynamically lets you enjoy teaching and also lets the students have fun while learning. If you have never taught English before and want to come see one of the biggest countries in the world, come over to China and try it. Training is provided when you come here so if you think you cannot teach don’t worry about that. Hope to see you. |

Theresa |
Hello or Ni hao,
My name is Theresa Aiken. I am from Ontario, Canada. My background education is in Children and Youth Counselling. Currently I am teaching in Shenzhen.I really love children and have grown to care a lot for the children that I have been teaching over the past few months. It is fun to teach the children here because the teaching method is very active. This makes it fun for both the children and myself. I must admit though it can be difficult to think of new, fun, creative games to play with the children at times! The staff here in Shenzhen are also lovely. They have been friendly and helpful to me and the other staff.
I have been in China for nearly three months now. This is my first time overseas and so far it has been a positive experience. The culture is very different in comparison to Canada, which can be challenging at times. I am more comfortable with it now and am constantly learning new things about China and about people in general. The food here is also good once you get used to it! My time here has been one of many memories and opportunities to truly build character. |

Hi there!
My name's Heather and I have been teaching English here in Guangzhou for 6 months now. Some days it is really challenging, but those are the days that help you grow and expand what you thought you were capable of.
If you want to experience a new culture, have fun, meet new friends, stretch your limits, learn a new language, taste amazing (and some times slightly questionable) food and shop like you've never shopped before then coming to China to teach may be for you! |

I am pleased to be the new foreign English teacher for the Pre-school class. I love the kids in my class so much. They are all very smart and learn new things vary quickly. We want them to have a good foundation in the basics so that they can excel in the future. The class will be moving on to primary school next year so we will prepare them for that transition
I am from Calgary Alberta Canada. My favorite sport is hockey. I look forward to helping Canadian Intertional Kindergarten develop their hockey program to be the best in the region. I have five years of experience working with kids and teaching. Last spring I graduated from college. I have two children of my own and my wife is pregnant with our third. I have lived in China since the middle of August. Our family loves it here very much even though it is really hot compared to what we are used to. |
